Student masters the basic trends and strategies of traditional and modern biotechnologies. Student has an overview
of microorganisms, enzymes, plant and animal cultures used in biotechnological productions. Student masters the
principles of ethanolic fermentation and production of ethanol, microbial biomass, fermented beverages production,
production of organic acids, amino acids, alcohols, natural aromas and other compounds. Student is familiar with
exploitation of biotechnological production in pharmacology, medicine, and environmental protection. Student knows
innovative trends in gene, protein, enzyme, and molecular engineering. Students knows to integrate knowledge in
independent work during the solving of theoretical problems in the frame of seminars.
